Midfest and NKITA to host His Excellency Caesar Lekoa, Ambassador of Botswana to the United States

On Thursday, September 30, NKITA will host His Excellency Caesar Lekoa, Ambassador of Botswana to the United States. The event, open to the public (limited seating) and held at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, was possible thank to Midfest International, a premiere cultural event held annually on first weekend in October featuring dance, music and food of many countries.

This year Middfest International celebrates the country of Botswana, a landlocked Southern African country, about the size of Texas, made up of largely unspoiled wilderness that includes Kalahari Desert and the verdant Eden of the Northern Okavango Delta, the largest inland delta in the world.

Botswana has more per capita land set aside for conservation than any country on earth. Its President, Ian Khama is one of the world’s leading conservationists. Botswana boasts the largest elephant herd in the world, high end eco-tourism, the largest diamond mine in the world and an enviable infrastructure, banking system and cattle export business with the European Union.

With a stable government and good relations between the races, Botswana sees its future in green energy solutions and as a gateway to doing business in Africa.
